SPA Spring Golf 2009

 Scottsdale Prep is proud to offer a comprehensive golf program for those students interested in pursuing the game either on a recreational level, competitive level, or both.  Our Spring golf program for Junior High and High School students will consist of two components:

 (1) Golf Instruction at the Orange Tree Golf Resort - this component will be 6 lessons given on Sunday afternoons beginning on Sunday, January 17th.  The 7th Sunday will be a final, 9 hole tournament (scramble format).  these lessons will be given by the PGA professionals from Orange Tree.  The schedule for lessons will be:

January 17th, 24th, & 31st  at Orange Tree Golf Resort from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

February 7th - NO CLASS

February 14th, 21st, 28th at Orange Tree Golf Resort from 4:15 PM to 6:15 PM.

March 7th - 9 hole tournament beginning at 4:00 PM.

The cost of this component is $240.

(2) Junior High & High School Competitive Golf Team - this component will offer practice at Orange Tree Golf Resort on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning on Monday, February 22nd and continuing through the last week of April (there will be no practice or matches during spring break).   Practice will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Orange Tree Golf Resort.  The match schedule will looks as follows:

 Junior High will play in six, stroke play events beginning on Tuesday, March 23rd and continuing through Tuesday, April 27th.  Students from Scottsdale Prep will be competing against each other as well as students from Rancho Solano School, Phoenix Country Day, and other Great Hearts schools.

 High School will play a 1A - 3A match schedule which will include about 8 matches.  The exact times and locations are still to be determined.

 The Scottsdale Prep competitive golf teams will be coached by Mr. Brian Abbott.

The cost of this component is $240.

Students may sign up for each component individually.  If a student chooses to do both programs, the cost will be reduced to $360 for both programs!  Specific golf forms will be emailed home to all students.  SPA Spring golf forms will also be available in the front office.
